Today’s B-P Summer Book Club selection is “The Fabled Fourth Graders of Aesop Elementary School.” It is written by Candace Fleming, and is recommended for students entering third and fourth grade. This chapter book is filled with fables about Mr. Jupiter’s fourth-grade class. There’s Calvin, who wants to go back to kindergarten, but when he actually does, he is forced to wear a school bus name tag. There’s also a girl named Amisha who can spell “wildebeest” without any problems, but when asked to spell cat, she spells it k-a-t. Readers will learn about tried and true lessons in this funny book. After this book is done, be sure to read “The Fabled Fifth Graders of Aesop Elementary School.”
