The Broadalbin-Perth High School Green Club is hosting a Christmas tree recycling event from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3. During this time, people can bring their used Christmas trees to the head of the nature trail (near the outdoor basketball court) at the high school, 100 Bridge St., Broadalbin.
With the help of the school district’s Buildings and Grounds crew, members of the Green Club will be chipping the trees for use on the nature trail. BPHS senior Andrew Meashaw, who worked on the trail as part of the Boy Scouts will assist the club in placing the chips where the Scouts would like them.
