In light of yesterday’s non-credible threats against the Los Angeles and New York City school districts, Superintendent Stephen Tomlinson wants to remind everyone in the Broadalbin-Perth community that making threats to cause harm at a school — whether those threats be verbal, written or online — is a federal crime. Broadalbin-Perth takes this issue very seriously and will pursue pressing charges against any individual or group of individuals suspected of making such threats.
Mr. Tomlinson also encourages parents, students, faculty, staff and community members to turn to the district for the most accurate and up-to-date information about events happening at B-P schools. During any emergency situation, information will be shared on the district website, www.bpcsd.org, as well as the district Facebook page, Twitter feed, and via the district’s mobile app.
