The Broadalbin-Perth High School junior/senior prom is rapidly approaching. This year’s prom will take place Friday, May 5, at the Hall of Springs in Saratoga. The junior class has decided on a prom theme of “Moonlit Marble.”

Unlike in years past, this year’s prom is on a Friday. Since this is the first Friday prom in more than a decade, please read this letter carefully as it outlines our expectations and includes pertinent information about prom.

Students who are attending the prom are required to attend school on Friday, May 5. Students who have purchased tickets to prom may be dismissed on an as-needed basis after 10:32 a.m. Note: Any student who is absent or leaves school prior to 10:32 a.m. will not be allowed to attend prom. Students who wish to sign out early must have a note with a parent’s signature.

In order to make prom safe and fun for everyone involved, please be aware of the following expectations. Although the Hall of Springs is an off-campus facility, prom is a school-sponsored event and students will be required to follow the district’s Code of Conduct. Students who engage in misconduct prior to the prom may be prohibited from attending the prom. Refunds will not be given. Attending the prom is a privilege and should be treated as such.

School bus transportation will be provided from the high school gymnasium to the Hall of Springs at approximately 6:15 Friday evening. Buses will also transport students from prom to the post-prom party at Flight Trampoline Park in Colonie. After the post-prom party, students will board the buses at 2:30 a.m. to return to the high school. Students may be transported to prom and the post-prom party by parents or by limo, but they may NOT drive themselves to either location.

Thank you to everyone who has worked to make prom a night to remember! If you have any questions, please call the main office at 954-2600.

Sincerely,
Mark Brooks, Principal
Adam Barnhart, Assistant Principal
