A group of Broadalbin-Perth Middle School Band students are helping to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by playing Christmas carols at the Rotterdam Square Mall on two dates this month.
Interested students auditioned for band teacher Laura Jacaruso in November and rehearsed with her after school.
Eighth-grader Miles Compani and sixth-graders Emma Goebel, Isabella LaTour, Makayla Hodsoll, Jesse Goebel and Anthony Peck performed Saturday, Dec. 5, and raised $470 for the charity.
The students will perform again from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Rotterdam Square Mall.
