Instead of heading to his office Thursday, January 12, Broadalbin-Perth Superintendent Stephen Tomlinson spent his day as head cook at the Broadalbin campus, where he assisted Toni Scott as part of the district’s staff recognition program, “Successories.”
“Toni is the type of person that gives all of the credit to her colleagues,” Tomlinson said. “She is a presence. She makes a impact with everyone she comes in contact with.”
As it has in the past, at the close of each quarter, a winner of a $25 restaurant gift certificate will be randomly drawn from among the completed Successories forms at each school building. However, this year, another incentive has been added: One person from among the completed forms each quarter will be selected to receive a personal day, which Tomlinson will cover. All employees of the B-P school district are eligible for the day off; though Tomlinson is not licensed to drive a school bus, Director of Operations and Safety Mike Carney will fill in if a bus driver is chosen as one of the quarterly winners. The district also will continue its practice of choosing a grand prize winner of a $100 gift certificate from all Successories submitted at the end of the school year.
All members of the B-P community are encouraged to take the time to recognize the good work of district faculty and staff by participating in the Successories program.
