High school students participating in Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA) accompanied students from The Learning Community as they spread holiday cheer by singing Christmas carols throughout Broadalbin-Perth High School the morning of Thursday, Dec. 22.
To enhance the songs, the TLC students donned homemade Santa and snowman masks, as well as reindeer crowns, while the high school students wore Santa hats.
Through LVA, which is a credit-bearing course, high schoolers work with elementary students to improve their reading skills. It is a popular course among students interested in pursuing careers in education.
