The 8th annual Robin Blowers Patriot Pink Out will be held on Saturday, October 8. The event raises money for cancer research and is named in honor of the district’s beloved former principal, who lost her battle with cancer in August 2015.
Schedule of events:
- 4 p.m. – Fun Run on BPHS Track
- 5 p.m. – JV Boys Soccer vs. Amsterdam
- 5:45 p.m. – JV Halftime – Kids Contest
- 7 p.m. – Varsity Boys Soccer vs. Amsterdam
- 7:45 p.m. – Halftime Event – Recognition of cancer survivors/Lantern release
- 9:30 p.m. – Fireworks Display
Activities include face painting, pink hair extensions (from 4 to 5 p.m.), a bounce house, food, and more vendor displays.
Students and staff are also encouraged to participate in a districtwide Pink Out on Thursday, Oct. 6 by wearing pink articles of clothing.
Last year’s Pink Out raised $6,058.75 for the American Cancer Society, the most ever raised at the event. In total, the Pink Outs have raised more than $27,000 for cancer research.
