Today’s B-P Summer Book Club selection is “Where the Wild Things Are,” by Maurice Sendak. It is recommended for children entering pre-K or kindergarten. One night, Max decides to put on his wolf suit and cause trouble. As a result, his mom calls him “Wild Thing” and sends him to bed. That night, a forest grows in Max’s room and an ocean runs by with a boat to take Max to the place where the wild things are. Max tames the wild things and then crowns himself as their king. Will Max ever return home?
