Dear Parent/Guardian:
I hope that your summer has been an enjoyable one. As we prepare for the start of a new school year, the middle school is looking to increase the communication and collaboration with the community. We know, in order to be our best, we need input from not only administration, staff, and students, but also from you. Great things happen from teamwork and collaboration.
Two things will be occurring this year at the middle school and we need your assistance. We are looking for volunteers to become members of the BP Middle School Shared Decision Making Team. This team will allow for a platform to address the positives and challenges that we see in our building. The team will be involved in a decision making process as we address pertinent topics to the middle school. I am planning on scheduling SDM Team meetings on the last Tuesday of each month, from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm.
I will also be hosting “Coffee and Conversation” every other month. This will provide an opportunity for the community to come in and sit down with me and some of my staff. This will allow for us to get feedback from you and hopefully, address topics that are on your mind, as well as ours. The dates for “Coffee and Conversation” will be announced at a later time.
I am very excited about the collaboration that will occur and know that the ones who will benefit the most from this will be our students. I look forward to our discussions and sharing ideas throughout the year.
