Do you work in a health-care field? If so, Broadalbin-Perth would welcome your participation in a regional Healthcare Careers Night beginning at 6:30 p.m. April 12 at BPHS.
With help from professionals working in our area, we’d like to offer our secondary students an opportunity to learn more about a variety of healthcare-related jobs.
Volunteers are needed to be part of a large-group panel discussion and for smaller breakout sessions that will help students understand the scope of options available to them and the paths to different careers.
Volunteers would be expected to share with students and their parents:
- An overview of their typical job duties
- Their education and background
- What students can do now to prepare for similar careers
Colleges that offer programs in medical fields also will be on hand to provide information to students.
